| REFLECTION ON CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT. My reflection for this course, I was pushed on definition of Curriculum and Curriculum Development over the past 14 weeks. When I started the course I didn’t think that I had completed definition at all. Many students used different definitons for the term. Which make me feel more understand. I didn’t know what is true or false. For me I also have definition clearly but I am not sure I’m ready to share my definitive answer.
“ A curriculum is the instructional programme through the pupils achieve their goals”
Curriculum is everything which students have to learn It includes explicit and implicit of what our system fosters for learning.
At the end of the course, I know the way to develop curriculum basing on collecting information, analyzing needs in target group. From need analysis I know that what the learner need, what they want to do?. So I can give the goals and objectives of the course. Beside, In this course I know the way to evaluate the course and the program(curriculum).
“ Curriculum evaluation can be defined as the collection and provision of evidence, on the basis of which decisions can be taken about the feasibility, effectiveness and educational value of curricula.”
Furthermore, I can distinguish the difference between syllabus and curriculum.
“ Syllabus is generally unidimensional in the sence it merely present the content or the subject matter to be studied”
And “ Curriculum is three dimensional because it takes into account:
The needs of the students The content Instructional methodology. We know that the definition of project and its element.
“ A project is planned set of interelated tasks to be executed over the fixed period and within certain cost and other limitations”
